Here is an amazing owl that was made from a Black Walnut Crotch. Look at the grain and figure in this piece. This is a hefty bowl that has hand rubbed Tung Oil finish. The little knob you see on the bottom was removed after the pictures were taken. Sorry I didn't re-take the pictures. The bowl has a slightly undercut rim to make it easier to hold and also has an elegant rim detail.
