One beautiful piece of Big Leaf Maple Burl was used to make this covered box. It was hand turned to a thin walled round box. This box was turned from one solid piece or burl so the grain matches from the lid to the base. It is about 5" tall. The figuring in the grain is dramatic. It has been finished to a semigloss shine with Shellawax. Inside is raw wood to give off the natural smell of the wood. This makes a wonderful gift or is great for a home warming gift for one of your friends.
